Sutherland is 4 hours drive from Cape Town and it is worth considering a stop at historical Matjiesfontein where you can stretch your legs and enjoy a quick coffee at the Lord Milner Hotel.

After seeing the town of Sutherland for the first time you will drive down the short curving Rooikloof pass. At this point, you should look to the right for our entrance gate. It can easily be spotted from the R354 by simply looking out for the well-known Red Bicycle elevated above our gate post.
Landing Strip
A landing strip suitable for light aircrafts is located approximately 10km from Rooikloof Farm. Guests are welcome to arrange for transport to and from the strip with Janine. Rooikloof also offers an estate vehicle for guests coming in via aircraft.
